Technical Skills: File preparation, quality control, attention to detail, file organization, and designing.
Creating Process:
When creating designs sometimes clients have an idea of what they want and some do not. With this client, they were more into Adidas looking designs. Adidas typically goes towards sharp but simple. So that's what I had to keep in mind while creating these designs. Sometimes I go on Google Images or Pinterest to get some inspiration.

The schools mascot was provided to me through my work. We have an Illustrator file containing logos and mascots that we would use frequently. It's so we don't have to recreate the logo or mascot multiple times and it's easier to find.
File Setup:
Software: Adobe Illustrator
Dimensions: 17 x 11 inches
Color Mode: CMYK
Raster Effects: Medium (150 ppi)
Bleed: None
Layers: 3

Mock-Ups & Process:
Before doing any production work, we must get approval from the client. How we get that approval is through making a mook-up. I created 3 separate mocks-ups for each design. I make sure to add the garment they putting the design on (The  site I use to find the garments, https://www.ssactivewear.com).

Then I get measurements of the design if it was placed on a garment. We aim for each design to be 11"-12" wide and at least 5"-6" tall. I take the design and make the design between 11"-12" wide and see how tall it will be. Then I add text under the square to get the client an estimate of how big the design is.

Once all that is finished, I email the client for approval. Responses from clients could be from an hour to a few days. The slanted lines and football design were approved by the client. However the loud & proud design wasn't. That is okay because the client was looking for 2 designs anyways. If a client doesn't use that design, I always save it. It could be used for another client! So the time you used to make the design wasn't a waste.

After approval we started the production process. A form is made and given to our production staff to print, weed, and press on the garments. Once the garments are ready, we send out the garments to the client.
